Description
Up for sale is a beautiful (and very rare) factory Gibson hard shell guitar case with the black tolex exterior and a plush blue velvet type interior. As you can see, the Gibson Acoustic Tone Feel And Appearance logo is on the lid.
The 1954 LG1 that's shown in the pictures, inside the case, is for illustration only. This auction is for the case only, and the guitar is obviously not included. As you can see, the LG1 does fit perfect in this case.
This case is in excellent condition. The exterior as well as the interior are both super clean with no rips tears or stains etc. All of the hardware, including the hasps, hinges and handle, is intact and in excellent condition.
These cases were made by TKL for Gibson and the quality is unsurpassed.
They only come with the small body Gibson parlor type guitars, and most of the cases stay with the guitar, so you'll rarely see one for sale.
We always have several nice guitar cases on eBay, but only two of these (smaller size) cases left in stock.
They're listed on separate auctions and as you can see, this case is
1-1/2" longer and slightly wider than the other one.
We have an LG1 which is shown in the pictures in this ad, but we do not have any other small body parlor size guitars on hand. The overall length is 41"
The width at the upper bout is 14-3/4"
The width at the lower bout is 11-1/2"
The depth is 4-1/2"
The depth on the lid is 1"
Once again, these are the interior dimensions, between the pads, and they are approximate, because the pads will give slightly.
