Greetings, up for auction is a French Model 1874 Bayonet with Scabbard.  This T-back sword bayonet was used on the M1874 Gras 11mm rifle.  The Gras was the first French military rifle to use metallic cartridge ammunition.  The M1874 bayonet would also fit on the M1866 Chassepot needle-fire rifle.  This blade length is 20.625" (524 mm), Overall length 25.50" (648 mm) and the Muzzle Ring Diameter is .710" (18.0 mm).  Crosspiece has small cartouches along with ricasso see pics. Blade has rust along with crosspiece, wood handles in very good shape.
