This miniature mug is actually an olive green color -- the color of all Buffalo China Deldare
ware.  I just could not get the light or flash to report the color correctly no matter how many photos I took.

NOTE the name of the pattern on the mug and the artist's signature "B.P."

Neither the bottom of the mug nor the hand-painted line around the bottom of the mug have any problems, I just accidentally allowed the background cloth to wrinkle up and cover the bottom edge of the mug.  Sorry.

This color shown is closer to the actual color, but the real color is a bit darker.  Check out some of the other Deldare pieces on ebay.  I don't know how the sellers did it, but they caught the color better.

This section of the mug shows painting that is typical of Deldare ware -- the black color that has run from the feet of the man and the dog and the inaccurate painting of the white horse's face.  The rest of the mug has been pretty much painted accurately.

The photo below shows the same section of the mug with the same problem areas.

The  pottery maker's signature reads "1908, MADE AT YE BUFFALO POTTERY, DELDARE WARE UNDER GLAZE"

THIS AUCTION IS FOR A SCARCE BUFFALO CHINA DELDARE "THE FALLOWFIELD HUNT" MINIATURE MUG.  You often see the full sized mugs, but the miniature mugs are more difficult to find.

The mug was made in 1908 so it is a bona fide antique of over 100 years in age.  It is a handpainted piece with the artist's signature.  It is a great early 1900's period piece with outstanding Arts and Crafts styling which will fit into many of the homes today.  The colors are bright and dynamic.  The subject matter is colonial with the Foxhounds and the horses.

The mug measures about 2 1/2" high and 2" in diameter.

CONDITION

The condition of this Deldare mini mug is excellent.  I see no post-production defects except for some crazing of the glaze.  There is no discoloration from or with the crazing.
The only other "defects" are the typical Deldare production errors such as the inaccurate painting and the some misplaced color under the glaze here and there.  Inside the bottom of the mug there are also some the typical Deldare spots of pottery imperfection -- one spot where there is a chunk of pottery raised above the rest of the bottom, another  spot where there seems to be a bit of pottery missing (no holes though and all under the glaze) ,and then some general potstoning on the inside bottom.  I had a difficult time getting the photos of these.  I hope my photos help you to understand.

OVERALL, THIS IS SUCH A GREAT EXAMPLE OF ARTS & CRAFTS ART AND IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  Don't miss out on this scarce piece of Deledare.

SHIPPING

The shipping weight of this item is 8 oz.  in a box.
Winner will have the option of pick up, Priority shipping or First Class.

Please note that First Class shipping could take a week or more depending on your location.

For domestic shipping, I only charge what the Post Office charges me.  I charge nothing for my packaging time or my shipping materials.    MY $1.85 HANDLING FEE IS TO COVER THE EXPENSE OF THE INSURANCE EBAY REQUIRES SELLERS TO PROVIDE ON THE SHIPPING (I know most sellers are not adhering to the rule that the items must be insured, but I do).  THE HANDLING FEE IS NOT FOR MATERIALS OR MY TIME -- IT IS ONLY FOR INSURANCE.  If you want to forgo insurance, just let me know.

Please note that Ebay and PayPal invoices no longer give the seller the option of putting in insurance separately because it is supposed to be automatically included by the seller.  So when you later receive correspondence that says "no insurance offered"  it is a residual thing from the past that Ebay and PayPal have not fixed yet even though I have complained several times.  I assure you, YOUR ITEM WILL BE INSURED.

For international bidders, I will have to discuss arrangements, but I will do all I can to keep the shipping costs down.  Items cannot always be insured (depending on shipping options chosen)   Please email me to get the cost of shipping.

International customers are responsible for all customs charges and brokerage fees.

I WILL COMBINE SHIPPING CHARGES -- I ONLY CHARGE FOR COMBINED WEIGHT  -- NOT FOR THE NUMBER OF PIECES.  I may need a few days to find the right box for combining pieces.  Please be patient for me to re-invoice you if you buy more than one piece.  YOU CAN COMBINE THE SHIPPING CHARGES FOR AUCTION WINS OVER SEVERAL WEEKS AS LONG AS YOU PAY FOR THE ITEM AS YOU WIN IT.  THE SHIPPING CHARGES CAN GO ON THE LAST AUCTION WIN PAYMENT.
