DETAILED DESCRIPTION


This is a bold vintage skirt from the 1970s.  The material is a stretchy polyester knit that is an orangish red color, and it has a funky plaid design done in navy blue and white.  The skirt has an elastic waist, and it does not have any closures. 

Because of how long the skirt is, you could probably pair this with a belt and wear it like a strapless dress as well!

The tag labels this a size 14.  Because of the elastic waist, I believe this skirt could fit anyone in the Medium - Large size range.   The actual measurements are as follows:

Waist (elastic): 
13-18" across (26-36" around.  This is what I would call the 'comfortable stretch' range.  The waist stretches to 20" across max.)
Hips: 21.5-22.5" across (43-45" around)
Length: 40.5"

Note: Even though there is some stretch to the material, please leave yourself room for comfort of movement.  All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The first measurement is with the garment unstretched and the second is at the max comfortable stretch point. The flat measurements were doubled where appropriate to give an approximate measurement around. 

Condition: This item is in EXCELLENT condition for its age with no flaws to note.

I go to the post office every week day, Monday - Friday.  I typically ship items out one business day after I've received payment, so if I receive payment on Friday, your item will go in the mail Monday (although if I receive payment early enough, I might get it in the mail the same day).  If you pay with an e-check, I will wait for the payment to clear before shipping your item.  I may occasionally take a few extra days to ship an item if I am out of town, especially if it is around a major holiday.  If you need an item to be shipped right away, just let me know and I will do my best to get it out to you as soon as possible!  I do offer Express Mail shipping for most of my items for those of you who need rush shipping. :-)

 

Items sent First Class are shipped in a heavy duty polyvinyl mailer.  Items sent Priority Mail are sent in either a tyvek mailer or a box depending on the size of the item.  You may always request that an item be shipped in a box, but the shipping cost may go up slightly.

I am also happy to offer a combined shipping discount if you purchase more than one item.  If you buy more than one item, I will send you an adjusted invoice with the new shipping price.   Items must be paid for at the same time to be eligible for a shipping discount.  I include Delivery Confirmation for free on all US orders.  

PLEASE NOTE: I will ship your item to the address listed on the Paypal payment, so please make sure that your address is up-to-date!  If you need me to ship to an address other than the one listed, please make a note of it when you pay.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: I am happy to ship internationally, but please note that as the buyer, you are responsible for any taxes or duties your customs office might charge on packages coming from the USA.  Customs fees are not included in the cost of shipping.  ALSO NOTE:  While First Class Mail International is the cheaper shipping option, it is also less reliable.  I’ve had some customers get their packages in around a week, and for others, it has taken a month.  If you need a package by a certain date, I’d highly recommend Priority Mail International.  I can also ship via Express Mail International upon request.  Tracking is NOT available for First Class Mail International.  If you would like a TRACKING NUMBER for your package, you MUST select Priority Mail International or Express Mail International as your shipping option.




Returns:

I know that purchasing clothing online can be risky, and I want all of my customers to have a great experience in my store.  If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact me about making a return.  If you decide to return an item, please mail it back to me no later than 14 days after you receive it.  It must be returned in the exact condition you received it.  If the item had tags, they must still be attached. 

 

All returns will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.  Shipping and Handling charges are non-refundable.

 

Clothing Condition:

The large majority of the items in my store are vintage, and therefore pre-owned.  I do my best to only put items up for sale that are in very good to excellent vintage condition, and I will list any major flaws that I notice.  However, most vintage clothing has been around for several decades or more, and it may have some minor snags in the fabric, the occasional loose thread or other minimal signs of wear.  Vintage items may also have raw seams that have not been serged.  By purchasing, you are accepting that these items are used and may not be 100% perfect. However, if you feel I have overlooked a major flaw, please let me know! 

 

I personally have a SMOKE FREE AND PET FREE HOME.  I won't sell a piece of clothing if I notice a smoke smell on it from a previous owner.  I have no way of knowing if the original owner of the clothing had pets, but I will use a lint roller to remove any fuzz or stray hair I notice.  Because most of what I sell is vintage, an item may have been in storage for quite a few years, so I always recommend you wash or dry clean your item before wearing it.
