Hand-crafted Crocheted 100 Flag Blanket ‘Flying The Flag’ – Charity Listing.

This stunning, one-of-a-kind, heirloom blanket was crocheted by members of the SIBOL - ‘Sunshine International Blankets of Love’ group who makes blankets for the Elderly. Members of this International group knit or crochet squares and send them to the co-ordinator, who then crochets them together into blankets which are distributed to the Elderly in Nursing Homes. What a lovely idea! This particular blanket was made by group members in the USA and UK ‘a fantastic joint-effort’.  Our work has been recognised by many craft magazines for the dedication of the group members and quality of blankets made.

All proceeds from this Blanket will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society in the UK.

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia, affecting around 496,000 people in the UK.

Each of the 100 squares on this special blanket, lovingly nicknamed ‘Flying the Flag’ shows a variety of Flags of all nations. It is brand new, beautifully hand-crafted in Crochet and is made in various colourful Acrylic yarn to depict each Country’s Flag.

The Blanket is roughly 63” inches Square (163cm), machine washable and it will arrive specially presented in the style of all SIBOL items and includes a card detailing the members’ names who made the Blanket.

I have put a reserve on this item of £250.00 to reflect the huge amount of work and the fact that this is a unique blanket and is something to cherish.

As it is a Charity item, this sale is non-refundable.
