A rare opportunity to buy a Heavy Duty Vinten Type 3201 ENG Tripod with Avocet 90 Type 3199 Fluid Head.
The Fulmer peds & tripods are so good that they still use them at Teddington studios. This was when Vinten still made tripods to a highly engineered standard in the UK. I would keep it myself but i already have a tripod for my EX1. As you can see in the photos it is well used with knocks & scratches consistent with its age. The movement of the head is perfect with no dead spots. Friction & Locks work perfectly. This is one of the tripods my late father used with his DSR 570 WSP & would suit full sized studio cameras. The only things missing are 2 of the rubber feet that cover the spikes but has never been a problem as the tripod sits on the spreader's rubber feet. It weight in at 8.6KG on my bathroom scales, perhaps not as light as a modern carbon fibre tripod but much more solid & steady. They don't make them like this anymore!
