Let me give you some information on these. First, I know the source of these patches and after examining them and hearing this mans story believe them to be real. Of the very few Green Beret’s in Vietnam it only makes sense there would be fewer sniper patches. In a recon group you had 6-12 men with only one or 2 snipers. These men got together and designed these patches themselves and the US government does not acknowledge them in any way. Many wore them as pocket patches sewn over the pocket and inside the Beret. I personally know the man who designed along with his team these three patches like all other groups designed theirs. You are bidding on the one patch in the picture. I have never seen these until just recently so details are behind us 40 years but was told there were no more than 5-6 of each one made. More information may or may not be available because these groups were completely covert. They were called MACV SOG the winners of more Medals of Honor than any group in Vietnams entire history.
