| This is a VERY NICE Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone. The Mark VI tenor is a modern icon of saxophones. Made popular by jazz greats by the score, the Mark VI is generally considered the finest saxophone ever made, and pristine examples can command prices well in excess of $14000. This saxophone is awesome. Like many of this vintage, this horn has been relacquered, but it looks good. Serial number is 125320 putting it into a GREAT vintage for Mark VI tenors-I love the horns from the 120000s-they have a complex, dark, smokey sound that is among my personal favorites. Neck is original and the serial numbers match. Pads and action feel very good and this horn plays GREAT. Pics tell the rest of the story!
