Unique made in Japan USED vintage machine.   Approx 30 year old Pinto brand shave ice machine.  Front cast iron decorative piece has image in relief of a sunrise over Mt Fuji & a sail boat. Side has name: Pinto. Place a block of ice in center platform and crank the handle.   The down rod has spikes that hold & spin the ice against the lower platform which has a blade beneath it.   Blade is there.   All original old colors.   Japan is the source for most old vintage cast iron shave ice machines.  Very top has various knobs for adjustment.  This item still works.   Parts move.  Get a small block of ice and party!   In Hawaii there are still a few shave ice shops selling paper cones packed with brightly colored shave ice. Use colored sugary syrup to soak ice after placing in paper cone. Weighs 42 lbs boxed. 24 inch high by 15 inch wide by 10 inch deep.  Rust, age wear.   Works. To make snow cones again some oil in the gears is all you need.
