Real galvanized steel only, no aluminum that wears quickly, darkens the rope and can eventually shred it. Four hollow steel bars for precise amount of friction at any given moment of time.
Use 4 bars for regular descent, 2 bars with extra rope loop over the top bar for steep grounds and 4 bars with extra loop for thin/wet/muddy rope or when carrying packs.
Easy lock-off: twist a rope counterclockwise placing it between frame 'horns' and rope end that leaves the rack, continue the turn placing the loose end tightly under the hyper bar's 'fang'. That's it! Repeat the twist for extra safety.
Used in world's deepest caves such as Voronia (-2 197 m), Sarma (-1 830 m) and Snezhnaya (-1 753 m).
