This is for sale on behalf of a retired friend of mine who has had it about 20 years. I have done a bit of research thanks to a tip from another ebayer I am pretty sure it is a late 70's early 80's model S3 or S3N and probably of German manufacture. More info can be found on the wonderful vintage Hofner site [link removed by eBay] There is a sticker with a serial number of 211011 if that helps anyone. It has one double Shadow pickup (humbucker) and one single Shadow pick up. A guitarist friend tried it out for me and says it all works fine, the volume on it is awesome and it is very versatile in terms of the sound variations achievable. An absolute pleasure to play and a sound investment (forgive the pun). No cracks and the neck is straight (the crack you may think you see on the headstock is in fact a string). There is a small area of a very minor scuff which I have posted a pic of but really the guitar is in awesome condition.

If anyone knows more than me about it I'd be glad to hear from them as it's aroused my own interest.

POSTAGE & PAYMENT: Payment via Paypal, UK (only) cheque (which I will have to clear) or UK Postal Order. I do not try to make a profit from postal charges. I will usually post out within 24 hours of receipt/clearing of payment. I pack well and obtain a proof of posting. I keep costs as low as possible but these have to include cost of materials etc and Paypal do take a % of postage fees.
