Welcome to my auction on the Poledancer guitar.

I usually build my guitars to customers orders, but I always use to build one or two the same time for my own pleasure and to try new designs.

I love to spread my wings by building extraordinary guitars that are not explicit custom orders.
It took me more than 9 months to build the Poledancer guitar.

This is one of my oldest designs. 20 Years ago I built a guitar that was quite similar but had horns made of wood.
Now I thought it was about time to make another one using solid aluminum poles.
Was hard work to polish the aluminum by hand.
Please don´t get the idea wrong - This is NOT a so called "travel-guitar".
The Poledancer is a full-size guitar with a standard scale 648mm neck and a one-piece Mahogany body with flamed one-piece German Ash top.
It plays amazing and the sound is very powerful. Even as it looks filigree - it is built like a tank and will be amazing on any stage.
The sound of the Poledancer is amazing. I don´t think that you really can hear how wonderful that guitar sounds on the sample videos.
Recorded with a Fuji S200EXR digital camera and not mastered or mixed in any way.
That guitar got such a sweet Blues sound and she really sings.
On the other hand the humbuckers give her a lot of powerful punch and that makes the Poledancer an increddible heavy guitar also.

Generally I can say that my customers are completely free regarding the design and features.
If I can build it – I will build it.
I don´t employ computer controlled CNC mills that spit out nearly finished bodies and necks.
I know that today most customshops have their guitars built by CNC mills.
Please don´t get me wrong: There is nothing bad about a CNC computer controlled mill.

If you have to make lots of guitars as fast as you can, or if you have to make guitars with the exact same shapes and
designs again and again, you will not get round having CNC machines in the workshop.

I don´t want to make exactly the same shapes and designs with every one of my guitars and I don´t have to build hundreds of guitars.

That offers me the possibility to build my guitars really by hand, instead of having them cut and shaped by computer controlled machines.

And so my customers always get a guitar that is a unique specimen.
I am building them the old fashioned way using angle grinder, sharp scraping irons, and tons of sandpaper.
And handcrafted really means handcrafted.
All custom guitars are completely made by only one luthier - ME.

Zerberus-Guitars is some kind of a One-Man-Show and it´s only me in the workshop.
I do all the works - drive around to find amazing long time stored lumber - saw out the bodies and necks -shape that all by hand without using CNC machines -
equip the hardware - install the electronics - paint the guitars and so on......I also take the photos and make the website.
No step of my work is done by someone else.
That makes the guitars very unique.

There is only one Poledancer guitar on this planet and this one has serial number #001.

Some specs:

Body: Mahogany 1-piece with 1-piece German flamed Ash top
Horns: Solid Aluminum poles
Fretboard: Flamed Maple
Frets: Sintoms German silver frets / Mixed fret system  (Fret 1-12 = 2,8mm / Fret 13-24 = 2,3mm) That gives you more space between the higher frets.

Scale: 648mm scale.

Radius: 14”

Neck: Deep set in neck / 7-layer neck with flamed Maple, Wenge and Purpleheart.

Illuminated side dots / you can switch Blue/Off/Red.

The side dots are lit by only one LED.

The neck has a set of optical fibers instead of using 12 single Led´s.

One 9-Volt block + 1 LED (will last a lifetime)

Tuners: Wilkinson locking tuners.

Nut: Roller nut.

Trussrod: I only use double action trussrods of superb quality. Does not make sense to pinch and scrim on such important components.

Pickup-rings: I made them of the same material as the top (flamed Ash).

Potiknobs: Chrome with Abalone inlays.

Tremolo: It´s a Wilkinson VS100 by Gotoh in Japan.

Pickups: I used Fat-Rod pickups on that one.

You can see that I don´t give a lot on big names but I care a lot on sound and quality.

The controls: Volume poti with Push-pull-function (Neck Pickup - Humbucker/Singelcoil) / master-tone control.

Of course the Poledancer is shipped including certificate and hardcase

I usually build my guitars as custom orders, but sometimes I also build some guitar just to spread my wings, be creative and try new shapes and designs.
And the Poledancer is one of those.
I also made a set of sound sample videos to show the extreme versatility of the Poledancer guitar.
Recorded in my showroom using a Fuji S200EXR digital camera. Surely not the best setup for recording and the showroom has a lot of natural reverb.
So please do not care about my qualities as a guitar player, and - Yes, I know that my German accent is annoying :)
Played that thru a Fender Mustang V and a Bugera half-stack.
Even as the Fender has a lot of crisp treble and the Fuji cameras microphone isn´t the best, I think you can hear that the tonal range of the Poledancer guitar is impressing.

Here you can find 5 videos that I have recorded with the Poledancer:
 Poledancer intruduction
Poledancer Soundsample Clean
Poledancer Soundsample Blues-Crunch
Poledancer Soundsample High Gain
Poledancer Illuminated side-dots demonstration

As I mentioned before, I built the Poledancer from scratch and by hand.

Regarding the shipment:
Please contact me before bidding.
I use to ship with Midway Express/UPS.

Regarding the payment:
People often ask me why the prices in the US-Ebay auctions are much lower than those in the German Ebay.
This is because ot the tax law. (not my idea)
The price shown in the auction is for bidders who live outside the European Union.
Bidders who live inside the European Union will have to add the German Value Added Tax (VAT) that is 19%.

Of course we accept Paypal.
If you want to send the money by bank transfer (SWIFT banking) you are also very welcome.
Before bidding, I suggest to contact me and discuss the best way for payment.

Refund:
I am aware that it always is a risky matter to buy a guitar that you never had a chance to play before.
This is why I do my best to provide a lot of information regarding sound, handling and quality.
In Germany I can offer free shipment towards and back from my customers, but I can´t do that outside of Germany.
I am really proud and persuaded about the sound, quality and handling of my Zerberus-Guitars and so I take great importance on a fair and customer-friendly return policy.
So here is my offer: If you don´t like the guitar for any reason - you can ship the guitar back to my address.
Of course I will refund the buying price and  moreover I will pay for the shippment back to Germany.

If you have any questions - please feel free to mail me !
