Ich habe einige Anfragen zum ursprünglichen Kaufpreis und Wert des Bildes bekommen: 1994 haben meine Eltern das Kunstwerk zum Preis von Netto US$ 2354,-- auf Maui direkt von der Galerie lassen erworben. Inflationsbereinigt entspricht dies aktuell (nach www.usinflationcalculator.com) einem Preis von US $3,719.21, oder € 2,749.32 zum aktuellen Tageskurs. Unter Sammlern wurde die 50ger Serie meinen Informationen nach in Spitzenzeiten mit bis zu US$ 16,000 gehandelt. Scan der Originalrechnung ist zu Bildern hinzugefügt.

Die Energie von Stürmen wächst mit der dritten Potenz der Geschwindigkeit. Yolanda/Haiyan war deshalb 5x stärker als der Rekordsturm Kyrill, der vor einigen Jahren Teile Europas verwüstet hat! Die Philippinen brauchen unsere Hilfe!

80% des Erlöses gehen zu je 50% an die Aktion Deutschland hilft und an  “International Search and Rescue Germany”. Die übrigen 20% verwenden wir, um der Großmutter unserer Kinder mit einer Begleitperson die Reise aus den Philippinen nach Deutschland zu ermöglichen. Die Verwendung wird nachgewiesen und veröffentlicht.

Hochwertiger Strukturdruck

Christian Riese Lassen ist einer der führenden modernen Künstler der USA, und Miterfinder der “Marine Art” oder “Meereskunst”. Sein Meisterwerk Sanctuary wurde von den Vereinten Nationen zum Anlass des Welt Umweltgipfels 1992 in Rio in Auftrag gegeben. Es vermittelt wie kaum ein anderes einzelnes Kunstwerk die Schönheit und Komplexität der lebendigen Natur und die Faszination des Universums, in das unsere Welt eingebettet ist.

Ich selbst habe das Bild 1994 von meinen Eltern bekommen, als ich in Hawaii studiert hatte. Es hing seitdem in unserem Wohnzimmer und unsere 3 halb-philippinischen Töchter Sophie Maris (Ihr Name bedeutet Weisheit des Meeres), Liv Moana (Leben des Meeres) und Stella Marina (Stern des Meeeres) haben jeweils ihre ersten Lebensmonate Monate friedlich unter dieser Meeresszene verbracht.

I received various requests regarding the original purchase price and the value of the artwork: in 1994 my parents purchased the picture directly at Lassen Gallery on Maui for a net price of US$ 2354,--. Adjusted for inflation this corresponds to a current price of (acc. to www.usinflationcalculator.com) US $3,719.21, or € 2,749.32 at today's exchange rate (Nov. 19, 2013). As far as my information goes, the 1/50 series reached heights of around US$ 16,000 in peak times among collectors. I added a scan of the original bill to the images.

The energy of storms increases with the third exponent of wind velocity. As a result Yolanda/Haiyan was 5 times as strong as the record winter storm Kyrill that devastated parts of Europe a few years ago. The Philippines need our help!

80% of the sales price will go to the Association “Germany Helps”, a unified collection effort of the major German NGOs and international NGOs in Germany, and to “International Search and Rescue Germany” which coordinates high profile search and rescue efforts for disasters around the globe. The remaining 20% will be used to enable the grandmother of our three half Pinay girls to come to Europe together with an accompanying person. The use of the money will be officially published and proven.

Fine structural print

The 1992 work „Sanctuary“ is one of his outstanding Masterpieces. Commissioned by the UNITED NATIONS for the 1992 CONFERENCE ON ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT in Rio de Jainero, it captures the spirit of the sea, the fragility and beauty of the Earth’s living nature and the grandeur of the universe it is embedded in, like few other paintings have done before.

My parents bought this limited edition (7/50) in 1994 when I lived in Hawaii, and my Daughters Sophie Maris, Liv Moana and Stella Marina all three spent their first months under this beautiful scenery of the sea. This wonderful piece of art for years created a positive atmosphere in our family room, and we hope it will find a new worthy home and at the same time serve a good cause! Having been created to accompany the first international conference on global climate change it seems to be fitting to use it to assist victims of an extreme weather event!

Practical issues (shipping):

·      Within Germany shipping can be assured before Christmas. Insured shipping will be 60€

·      Within Europe Shipping can be assured before Christmas and will cost € 150.

·      For overseas locations the shipping rate entirely depends on your location and can vary between 200 for surface shipping and 1000 Euro for next day or 48 hour delivery. Please enquire for information.
