The Karmaloop Story 

In a world dominated by cookie-cutter clones the evil forces of McFashion spread it's awful agenda throughout the universe. The masses lived in a dark and bland world of predictability and boredom. The culture had been contaminated and Individual style was nonexistent.



This was not to stand in the year of our 'Loop 2000, a beacon of hope flashed from the Northeast guided by an intrepid entrepreneur and his rebel alliance of culturists who rose to battle the evil forces of McFashion. They set out to create a lifestyle brand?something that was more than just an e-commerce site but also a community of style and a full-fledged media powerhouse!



The leader who emerged was Greg Selkoe and his rebel army was to be known throughout the universes as Karmaloop. And with your help as well as that from reinforcements worldwide over the past decade, the rebels have beat back the clones and McFashion's empire has been crumbling under the weight of individuality ever since!



It started, like many revolutions, in the underground. A basement to be more specific ? Greg's parents basement to be exact. While hundreds upon thousands of dot.com ventures began to disintegrate, Karmaloop ignored doubts, attacks and negativity ("The Internet?! Ha! You'll never make money off the Internet!") after that moving operations to a dilapidated piano factory run by a lunatic landlord? and subsequently chasing out crackheads busting in the office, grinding for low or no money while working other "day jobs," dealing with floods, theft, and fraudsters, engaging in drinking binges and making numerous trips to New York on the Fung Wah Bus aka "the Chicken Run". All of it to get the gear you really wanted into your closet and concrete culture into your mind. Yet through it all Karmaloop never lost faith for one good reason?cause you had their back.



Against all odds, the rebels weathered the battles and became true dot.com survivors. They have moved a couple times since (more crazy landlords, however) and now employ roughly 130 20 and 30-somethings that run Karmaloop in offices in Boston, NY, and LA. They don't just work for Karmaloop, they live the culture, and it is with that dedication and loyalty and of course the best customers in the world? the site has grown into the cultural force Karmaloop is today. What is Karmaloop?


Karmaloop is an online re-seller of name brand underground streetwear & fashion.  We are located in Downtown Boston, Massachusetts.  

Returns Policy 

      
 Returns will be refunded after the warehouse has inspected items and declares the items are in their original condition.

      
 All returns must have a return label on the package with a RMA number.  We recommend customers receive a tracking number when sending back returns. 

      
Once   an RMA is processed, the items must be shipped out immediately.   Domestic packages need to be received within 2 weeks of the date the RMA   was created. International packages need to be received within 3 weeks   of the date the RMA was created.


      
You   may return an item within the first 14 days after receipt so long as   the items are in the original condition for a full refund, this excludes   bargain items.

      
You may exchange an item within 30 days of receipt for another item or store credit.

      
Items bought at 40% off or over are eligible only for exchanges, unless noted in the product description.

      
No refunds are available for sale items. Only exchange or store credit

      
Products must be in the condition you received them and in the original box and/or packaging. 

        


        Any electronic product that has been opened and/or used cannot be returned unless the unit was received defective.

      
A   Separate box should be used to ship shoes/sneakers back with the   original box inside. The Original box cannot be used as packaging for   shipping.

      
Items   worn, with stains cannot be returned. If you do ship such items,   Karmaloop will not be responsible for processing and returning such   items.

      
Shipping & handling is not refundable for returns.

      
Gift Certificates are not refundable


      
There will be a $5 processing fee for items returned without the RMA (Return Authorization) number.

      
There will be a $5 processing fee for items returned to our corporate offices in Boston instead of our Warehouse in Ohio. 

      
Price Adjustment Policy

        Karmaloop   offers a one time price adjustment for orders which have been returned   within 14 days of their purchase date. Please note that price   adjustments cannot be made on warehouse sale items or final sale items.

      
Shoe Return Policy 

        We   accept returns for shoes 14 days from the date of receipt only if there   is a defect in the shoe, or if they are unworn. Shoes returned between   the 14th - 30th days of receipt would be eligible for Store Credit only.   Any shoe that has wear on it without a defect can NOT be returned. A   refund will not be granted for items which are returned with obvious   wear or when footwear packaging is damaged and Karmaloop is not   responsible for returning the shoes to you. This will be determined by   the Karmaloop staff. All returns must come with the original shoe box.


      
DO   NOT use the shoe box as the shipping box because they would be damaged   in transit. Any returns without the original shoe box or with damage   shoe box will not be accepted.  Please contact customer service if you   have any questions prior to processing a return.  

      
Swimsuit Policy

        Karmaloop does not accept returns on swimsuits.

      
Underwear Policy

        Karmaloop does not accept returns on underwear and intimates.

      
Toy Return Policy 


      We   do not accept Toy returns for non-defective merchandise. We cannot   issue refunds, credits, or exchanges for a different Toy item. If your   merchandise has a significant defect right out of the box (i.e. the   product is broken or missing parts), we'll be happy to exchange it for a   non-damaged item. Shipping Policies 

Karmaloop has made sure that our customers have the best shipping provider at the most competitive rates. As of 11/24/2008, All continental US orders are shipped by UPS - we offer ground and express shipping options. International Orders are shipped by DHL



Your shipping charges will vary depending on the weight of your package. If you wish to check these charges before you make a purchase; add the items to your cart and start to check out. Shipping charges will be determined before you pay for your order. 


All USA Orders: Please allow 4-7 business days for ground shipping. USPS orders (to P.O. boxes or APOs) take 2-3 weeks for delivery. Express shipping options include Next Afternoon or 2-day. UPS does require signatures on all packages, so please make sure someone will be available, otherwise your package WILL be returned to us. All APO and PO box addresses for domestic customers will be shipped by the United States Postal Service ? because of this, we cannot offer drop ship items or expedited shipping. 


All Canadian Orders: Please allow 5-10 days to reach its destination. Canadian customs sets taxes, duties and brokerage fees on commercial goods shipped to The Great White North. These fees will be determined at the border. GST (Goods & Services Tax) and PST (Provincial Sales Tax) vary based on the province to which your gear is shipped and on its value. The duty is determined by the value of the merchandise and its place of origin (think NAFTA). Goods that are totally made in the USA will be duty free! But, still subject to GST/PST.



All International Orders:



Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. Your shipping charge will vary based on weight and country of destination. Expedited shipping is not available for International orders. 


Your package will be subject to customs/duties charges. DHL and Karmaloop are not responsible for customs/duties charges. These costs are determined by your local customs office. Karmaloop cannot determine, in advance, what these fees will be. We do try to minimize these charges by listing the 'wholesale' cost of your package on the commercial invoice rather than the retail value. This provides the customs agents with a true, legal value, while minimizing your costs. We cannot mark International orders as a "gift" in order to bypass or reduce any customs fees ? this is an illegal practice and as an established business we will not do this. For more information on customs and duties charges, please contact your local customs office.
