HARLEY 1940 EL KNUCKLEHEAD MOTOR & LINKERT CARBURETOR LOW MILEAGE REBUILT

Description:

1940 Knucklehead titled motor. Right side case is a 39, I purchased the motor as part of a rolling basket case and have not had it running. The motor looks to have been rebuilt with minimal miles on the rebuild. I worked with a competent mechanic to do a tear down on the motor to show exactly what I have for sale; you can go to the link provided to see the tear down and condition of the engine and parts. The engine looks to have the stock rods and flywheels and is in overall good condition, the cylinders look to have been bored to accept standard 74 pistons and show very minimal wear. The heads are in good shape with new valve guides although it appears the rear exhaust guide has a piece broken off. The rear head also has some weld repair done to one of the ears. The carb is an M5, the motor can be shipped as is disassembled or bolted back together your choice. This is being sold as is with no guarantees or warrantees implied or intended. Motor for sale locally also so auction may end at any time.

  • Did you know that Ebay charges me a percentage on your shipping cost? This means that if I charged you the quoted retail shipping cost I would loose money. I do my best to pack things so that you get them undamaged. This usually requires more shipping materials. For this reason I charge a handling fee to cover this extra fee and the cost of the packing materials.
