As from September 4th 2013, ebay have decided that they are no longer content to charge commission only on the final sale price, but also on the postage and packing charge, so unfortunately I have had to raise these charges by the same percentage. If and when ebay reverse this policy, my shipping charges will be reduced by 10%.

I am disposing of my extensive collection of badges and patches, which I built up mostly at concerts in the 1970s and 1980s. The majority are rock and heavy metal, but there are a few of other genres. I will also be listing a few T shirts and magazines (Kerrang!, NME, Sounds, etc.), plus concert programmes and related items, so please keep watching my listings. I have made every effort to keep all my items in excellent condition (although this has not always been possible with the paper items), so the vast majority are as new or nearly so.

This Small (according to the label, but please see paragraph above) black short-sleeved 100% cotton T shirt was printed in England in 1982, when I purchased it at a festival at the Racecourse Ground, the home of Wrexham FC on 24.07.82. Also on the bill were The Moon, Raven, Orion, Rampant Antics, all of whom get a mention at the bottom of the front of the shirt.

It spent some time fixed to the ceiling of my spare room, and when I prised it free, the adhesive was not keen to give up its grip. Some small spots are still adhering to the garment, and there are a few places where small holes developed. Fortunately, all of these are well clear of the design; nevertheless, in view of these defects, the starting price is low for this scarce shirt.

The image area measures roughly 10 inches by 12 and a half.

It measures 15 inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm.) across, from armpit to armpit, and 19 and a half inches from neckline to hem. Front and back are shown on scan.

Kindly note that this is the only one of this design that I currently have for sale, so please do not pester me with requests for different sizes.

Payment accepted in sterling by cheque, postal order or International Money Order. Please note that Canadian or US Money Orders in USD cannot be cashed in England; only International Money Orders made out in Pounds Sterling are acceptable. British banks are no longer accepting Eurocheques.

I reserve the right to ship only to confirmed PayPal addresses, which must in each case match the address notified to me by ebay at the time of sale.

The carriage quoted includes insurance. This is to comply with with PayPal's Seller Protection Policy. Details of this, and PayPal’s other policies, can be found on the PayPal website. If you would like to pay by PayPal, please make sure that you are thoroughly familiar with all of PayPal's terms and conditions.

The cost of insurance is, for the UK, £1.10 for Recorded Delivery, and this has been included in the postage amount. This gives coverage up to £50. Above that amount, Special Delivery is advisable. This costs £6.22 for items weighing less than 100g, and £6.95 for items weighing between 100g and 500g. Rates for heavier items are higher, and I can supply details on request. Special Delivery means that your item is insured for up to £500.

For overseas purchases, International Signed at an additional cost of £5 has been included in the shipping amount. This gives cover up to £50.

This service is not available to box numbers outside the UK because of postal regulations, so any bidders who do not have a street address registered with ebay are kindly requested to make alternative arrangements with me before bidding.

Only one insurance fee per consignment is charged, so there would be savings if more than one purchase were to be combined.

I realise that insured shipping is not always cost-effective on items of low value, and so I used to offer shipping without insurance, at buyer's own risk, which many customers welcomed, as it was much cheaper, but since 22 September 2009, ebay have removed the ability of the customer to choose insurance as an optional extra. Therefore, all my listings will have a combined handling/shipping charge which is inclusive of insurance. Please contact me IN ADVANCE OF BIDDING if you would prefer shipping without insurance. This will not be possible should you wish to pay by PayPal.

I would rather not be paid by echeque, and you will not receive your item before any such payments have been cleared, which on past experience can take anything up to 3 weeks. Please ensure that your Paypal account is in credit before sending any payment.

My preferred method of payment is by cheque drawn on a UK bank.

Please do not bid if you do not agree with ebay/PayPal's conditions.

I will gladly combine items to save on postage, but if you are thinking of placing further bids, please alert me BEFORE your first item has been packed, as I would prefer not to have to unpack and repack items.

Please note that I never end auctions early, as it is not fair on other bidders. Anyone making such a request will automatically be added to my Blocked Bidders list, along with non-payers, those who repeatedly pay late and those who refuse to return feedback when requested.

Finally, please do not be concerned if you do not hear from me immediately following the end of the auction, as I often have to work away from home for several days at a time.
