In the Dagali district of Bronte, Sicily, we source our pistachios and their products from a small, traditional family business who manually gather them from verdant patches on the otherwise rocky, desert like terrain formed from lava. Pistachio di Bronte is a D.O.P product: DOP is short for Denominazione di Origine Protetta(literally “Protected Designation of Origin”). As the the name suggests, this certification ensures that products are locally grown and packaged. And it makes a promise to the consumer: It’s a guarantee that the food was made by local farmers and artisans, using traditional methods. In fact, by law, only DOP products like balsamic vinegar can carry the word “traditional” on their labels, because they adhere to local 
traditions.So the DOP label may bring a higher price tag with it. But it also promises the highest quality! 

Pure Sicilian Pistachio Oil 

100% pure pistachio oil, with a deep, green colour and a long enjoyed, wonderfully smooth and fruity finish. Makes a fantastic seasoning oil for salads, meat and fish and divine paired with soft mild cheeses. This oil doesn’t just taste good however, it is  good; containing important EFA, essential fatty acids (needed for the creation and maintenance of cell membranes) and monounsaturated fats that help prevent cholesterol. 


There is also a high content of antioxidants, which fight free radicals and a balanced presence of minerals: calcium, phosphorus,
potassium, iron, magnesium and manganese.
