For sale is a stunning  Conn Satin Gold Plated ARTIST Alto.

Serial number: 129xxx

Year: 1924

Condition: 96% gold - some loss around right thumbrest, strap hook ring and neck. Overhauled, body in great shape, no dents. Octave key on the neck has been repaired.

Playability, sound: Only one great name comes in mind when playing this alto - Johnny Hodges. Very beautiful, colorful sound and great intonation.


The gentleman in the video is the previous owner of this wonderful instrument. I played it only ocassionaly when I had the mood for a sweet alto sound :)
