Here is a rare opportunity to purchase a genuine barn find vehicle. This is an ultra rare 1990 G plate Citroen BX GTI 16v. The car has been laid up for circa 14 years! It has covered 109,248 miles from new. Despite the long period without usage the car is complete and actually looks like quite an easy project. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT THE CAR THAT WAS ON EBAY A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. THIS IS A DIFFERENT CAR AND IS NOT A RUSTY SHELL WITHOUT A FLOOR! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IT HAS BEEN LISTED ON HERE AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IT HAS BEEN OFFERED FOR SALE IN 18 YEARS! It does not drive and i have not tried to start it. The plugs have been removed prior to storage and the plug holes in the engine are dirty/blocked with dirt so this will need attending to. The car has no battery fitted but i have plugged in a jump pack and the ingnition fired up, the electric windows work and the indicators operated. I dont think that the car is too bad considering the length of time it has been unused. As you can see from the pictures there in no major rust visable and the interior is complete. The interior is actually in really good condition. On top of the RHS front wing there is evidence of a previous repair that hasnt ever been re-painted. The pictures show the small areas of surface corrosion on the car that i can see. Places like the door shuts etc are all looking really good. The car is very original and unmodified. There can not be many, if any, left like this. Certainly well worth saving. The car was in full working order when laid up but it is now untested and has not been started. It has its original key and alarm fob but is going to need significant work to be used again. The pictures should give you a clear understanding of the car and its condition. It will need to be taken away on a trailer or flatbed although it does roll freely and the tyres do still hold air. I have the original V5 document and one old MOT certificate with the car. There are also a few NOS spares in the car to help with the re-build. These include a new clip in part of the front bumper where the tow eye is, a dizzy cap, a cambelt and a few other bits. There are many usable and rare to find parts on the car and I suspect that it could prove to be a useful parts supply if you already have one of these. That said please be advised that the car is for sale as a whole and I will not break it for parts. I also suspect that it is too good to be broken for parts! Any questions please ask.
