This is a most delightful, and, we understand, quite uncommon, breaded milk glass with a purple hue by Vallerysthal. It is marked with the makers name to the inside of the base section as shown. The piece is intricately moulded with a squirrel sitting on an acorn - what a delight!

In terms of condition, there are a number or small chips  at the rim. Also, a few to the base, the most noticeable being one to the back end of the acorn at the base. On very close inspection against the light there would appear to be a number of fine , short hairlines to the rim of both the base and the lid, these may be as made, or may be age related stress lines in the glass - I'm not sure  - see  pics. It still looks great, most aren't really visible.
