I am going to take an educated guess that this is from an Hudson or Essex very early 1920's.  I have seen an identical casting from an Austrailian Company that had a different base and was called Superman and I have seen Icarus as an early Hudson Essex emblem.  I haven't found the exact car as yet.  Casting if from Franklin in Illinois.  The casting condition is overall good and I believe from the remaining luster that this may have been hardened Nickel as opposed to chrome.  It is dirty and I have not attempted to clean it nor will I.  There is small amounts of surface pitting but of a pretty minor nature,  A complete restoration to orginal condition is quite possible if you have the matching car or just are a collector.  I am going to put a fair starting price on this with no reserve and will not offer a buy it now.
