A 10 pack of nickel plated (over steel) Chicago Screws with a 1/2" post.

These are great for cases, straps and, well pretty much most things where you want somthing semi-permanently held in place.

You may want your leather work project to not suddenly able to pop open but you may alsowant or need to be able to reopen at some point in the future.  Theses Chicago Screws are more permanent than a press stud but not a permanent as a rivet.  Because they're threaded you are able to unfasten and reattach as, when and where needed.

However, if you want it permanently locked together then a drop of strong super glue on the thread prior to assembly should mean that it becomes a pretty permanent fixture in and of your crafted piece.

Approximate dimensions:

The internal threaded part of this post is approximately 1/2" (13mm) long and 3/16" (4.5mm) wide.  The post length of the external threaded part is a little over 1/4" (just over 7mm).  The heads of both are approximately 3/8" (9-ish mm)across.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be aware that the picture with this listing is inaccurate and is for illustration purposes only.  The post is 1/2" long and the screw is 1/4" long.
