It is a fine looking violin from 1750 or later
Probably from Italy, with a stained broken label, one word on second line likes Genoa or Genoae The shape is in quite flat Italian model, with bottom plate higher than top . According to the local luthier who changed the finger board, the body is revarnished with current transparent orange varnish , only traces of original varnish left on scroll, which is kind of fiery red in color. The length is 352-353mm , quit light weight, top os wide grain material, back is plain material like many used in Milan violins. Currently it is immediate playable condition with no obvious defect, though traces from past repairs left more or less on body. i reserve the right to end the listing early if approached by professional stuff from Shanghai Conservatory with reasonable offer ~.
