If you have been a scale aircraft modeler as long as I have, you may recall cutting up thin pieces of masking tape or the fine lead sheet that goes around the top and seals a bottle of wine in order to make scale-appearing seatbelts and harnesses for your W.W.II aircraft cockpits.  Since then, the game has changed considerably, and now you can get some superb sets of pre-colored scale paper belts and photo-etched hardware and buckle sets to get the same effect, only much better.  However, these sets need to be painstakingly assembled under a magnifier, and will take several hours to complete a single set, depending upon your level of manual dexterity and eyesight.  The second modern option is found in some kits and aftermarket detail sets that now have the seatbelts and harness molded into the seat itself, but you are limited to the positioning they have pre-determined, and had better have an EXTREMELY fine paintbrush and a steady hand.  Now there is a third option, and it is, in my opinion, by far the best:  Fine Molds of Japan has released a series of W.W.II seatbelt and harness sets that are molded in flexible ABS plastic, enabling them to be realistically "draped" across the cockpit seat, just like the real thing.  All you have to do is paint the details, which will be much easier than the molded-in parts, as each part is separately molded.  This is Fine Molds set no. NH1 with four sets of Luftwaffe seatbelts for your Bf-109, FW-190, Me-262, etc. etc. in 1:32 scale.  Each set has four separate parts, two lap belts and two shoulder harnesses.  Probably the most difficult thing about using these sets will be in choosing how you will bend and position them in the cockpit!  Set is brand new, parts still factory sealed in the inner bag.  Save your eyesight and keep your cool by using this superb upgraded cockpit detailing system.  Please closely examine these photos and ask if you should have any questions prior to bidding.  See my other auctions ending this week and SAVE BIG on combined shipping!
