More Details by Brock Beard, Founder of LASTCAR:

2013 was a significant year in the history of NASCAR’s last-place finishers.  In the Sprint Cup Series, Michael McDowell scored his third consecutive LASTCAR title in his final year driving for Phil Parsons Racing.  In the Nationwide Series, Jeff Green claimed his own third straight title by breaking the all-time single-season last-place record.  And in the Camping World Truck Series, Chris Lafferty ended RSS Racing’s three-year stranglehold on the title with his first LASTCAR championship.

More importantly, 2013 was also the year I met Robert Taylor.  In 2005, Robert was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, and his treatment prevented him from continuing his passion for drawing classic race cars.  Now benefiting from new treatments, Robert is drawing once more and better than ever, producing works both for his collection and for the Steam Whistle Brewery in Toronto.

To salute Robert’s journey and to raise funds to provide treatment for the many others afflicted with this terrible disease, we present this auction, running now through DECEMBER 23, 2013.

Don’t miss your chance to own both a one-of-a-kind memento of NASCAR’s overlooked stars and the work of an inspiring artist who won’t let anything slow him down.

Thank you for visiting!  Happy bidding and Merry Christmas!
