eBay

This auction is for an assembled, HO Scale Bowser #100800 Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) L-1 Mikado Locomotive with coal tender (Car #345).  I bench tested the motor and it works.  It was together when I took it out of the kit box, but was unable to put it back together without risking breaking it or putting it back together backwards.  Thus, all of the parts that I took off will be placed in a plastic bag and I am sure can easily be put back together by someone who knows what they are doing.  What you see in the picture is what will be in the box when you open it.  Please review my description carefully and ask any questions before bidding.

On the kit box (which is green with some wear; some spray paint marks on the one side):

There are pictures of locomotives and tenders on all sides.

On the side:

In the box:

Everything that is in the kit is on display in the pictures (except the grey foam packing and plastic wrap that was on the train

Does not come with instructions

I took the locomotive apart to bench test it.  The motor works, although I suspect after sitting in storage for 10+ years, it will need to be tuned up by someone who knows what they are doing.

The engine part is heavy (1 lb., 7 oz. by itself, without the trucks attached).  It is charcoal grey/black and looks very nice.  The body measures approximately 6.75 inches.  345 is printed in gold lettering. There is also a plug that runs from the back of the locomotive to the motor.  It was not difficult to take apart, but part of the trucks slid into the body, and I cannot figure out how they slide back in and did not want to break or bend anything in trying to do so.

The tender also has a plug part (which presumably attaches to the motor) but no interior motor.  It is also charcoal grey/black.  Pennsylvania is printed in gold lettering on both sides.  The tender by itself weighs about 9 oz. and measures approximately 5 inches (including the kadee coupler).

The truck assembly has 8 wheels (4 sets of two wheels).  There is some grease underneath which probably explains why the loco was wrapped in plastic within the foam packaging.  Part of the reason I have been unable to slide the truck mechanism back into the locomotive body is because there appear to be three pieces to the truck that slide into the body and my clumsy fingers are not good enough to get everything in place and without the instructions, I have not been able to put it back the way it was before I took it apart to test the motor.

All in all, it is a nice piece and should be able to be easily put back together by someone who knows what they are doing.

I am not a collector and am describing this to the best of my ability based on what I see in the box (as compared to others I have seen from this collection and online).  Please review my description carefully and ask any questions before bidding.  What you see is what you get.  Everything will be packed carefully for shipping.

This is from an estate. I will be selling other trains, accessories and memorabilia from the collection over the course of the next few months so add me as a favorite seller if you want to be updated as to what I am selling or check out my other auctions to see more of what I have currently found.

If you have questions, please let me know in advance before bidding and I will try and answer them. All trains and accessories are sold AS IS with no returns or refunds unless an error has been made in the listing or shipping. If you feel an error has been made, please feel free to email me and I will do my best to try and fix it.

Domestic shipping and handling (with tracking) is included in the cost of the auction.  The kit box weighs almost 3 pounds and will probably priority mail (flat rate if possible).  I will also ship internationally through the Global Shipping Program.  I will combine shipping if more than one auction is won. Please email me if you are planning to or have bid on more than one of my items.

I accept paypal and will ship within one business day after receiving payment. If necessary, I will follow-up with you after the auction is won within one business day. I expect payment within 48 hours, and I will take appropriate steps for re-listing if payment is not received within 72 hours of the end of the auction.

Please contact me with any questions prior to bidding and good luck.
