I listed this on Thursday but I've just had notification that it was removed because Fender had reported it as counterfeit - so I'm relisting it here & to reiterate this is definitely & categorically NOT a Fender Ker Pow! Bass that was Made in Gotham City. It is a Bat Bass made in Bedfordshire . . .
It is in fact a truly unique bass built by myself as I've always liked the idea of decoupaging an old Batman comic onto a bass, & this one is a genuine 1971 comic. In a nutshell, the process involves cutting out the comic & sticking it all over the body with PVA glue & then spraying clear lacquer over the top to give protection. I also commissioned a unique engraved scratchplate plus a bespoke headstock decal that's also lacquered & looks quite the part!
Built around a fully loaded Squier Precision body & a no-name maple neck with neck adjustment at the heel, this is NOT a new bass & it was finished by hand so it does have some marks to it, along with the odd crease where the comic has been wrapped & stuck to the edges of the body - which is only natural! - but nothing at all that affects its playability! I'm sure this would not be your 'go to' bass but it certainly works & sounds like a P should - the action is medium being around 2mm at the 12th fret, plus no heavyweight either, weighing in at just under 4kg according to my bathroom scales.
I would positively urge you to come & try him out before the auction ends to satisfy yourself he's as good as I think he is!
All photographs are of the actual bass - please examine them closely as they form part of the description, as I'm sure I don't need to explain that you are not buying a brand new bass & he has a hand-applied finish but I confirm all works as it should. I've tried to accurately represent him in these photographs, but he really does look better in the flesh!

Payment preferred by cash on collection or bank transfer, but PayPal will be accepted as a last resort if you are unable to collect in person.
Although I cannot arrange a courier myself I am happy to securely bubble wrap & box him up if you wish to arrange your own courier - I work from home so am very flexible on collection.
