A rare and original Benwell Demon Fireworks Box, in very good condition for its age.  It measures approximately 16 inches / 41cm in length.  The colours are bright and strong, with very little fading, and the lid is in good overall condition, with just one split to the side of the box - all four corners are good.  The front reads: BENWELL Demon FIREWORKS  5'- (five shillings).  The sides read BENWELL FIREWORKS  Made in England  HALEY & WELLER LTD.  Draycott  Nr. Derby;  BENWELL FIREWORKS   KEEP DRY!  The end of the box reads: NOTE   THESE FIREWORKS ARE FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY.  IT IS IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS ON LABEL OR FIREWORKS.  NO FIREWORKS SHOULD BE HELD IN THE HAND UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED.

POSTAGE NOTE: I would love to be able to send all my items by basic post, although in the past when things have gone astray, as the Ebay seller, I've always been responsible for refunding the buyer, regardless of the proof of postage etc.  Therefore, I lose the item, the postage costs and any profits, even though I have proof of postage.  So now I always, without exception, send all items by insured means - so that's recorded delivery or Hermes Tracked in the UK and International Signed For or Tracked and Signed, overseas.  It helps guarantee delivery, and someone has to sign for it at the other end.  More expensive, but safer all round.  Also, postage prices have gone up significantly time and time again, so please check the postage cost before bidding.  Many thanks.

I have added further photographs so all details of the box can be examined by interested parties.  When looking closely at the base I discovered that there are splits to the short bottom edges of the box, adjacent to the base, which I have photographed - however, all corners are good.
