Designed in Bristol U.K. - by Lindo Guitars
Using the latest software and guitar manufacturing techniques available - this limited run of shorter scale electric guitars takes inspiration from an old classic but with a few added Lindo twists, to offer something unique in the marketplace.
Tonewoods and Finish
The Lindo Rune is a solid basswood body electric guitar with a single cutaway to allow easy access higher up the fretboard. The neck and fretboard are maple and, like the body, are also finished in a high gloss lacquer. The eye-catching 'digital' finish on the body top is a buckeye burl wood that has been inlayed with turquoise and is based around the concept of ancient rune stones and wood carvings.
Features and Benefits
The body and neck are of a 'set' construction, which means they are joined together and hand-carved as one piece as opposed to being bolted together separately. A set and carved neck is extremely beneficial for a number of reasons, such as quality of tone or 'timbre' and better hand comfort around the neck heel. It's an easier guitar to play, sounds great and also gives the Rune an incredibly stylish look. Opting for the simple approach with this guitar design, Lindo chose a single humbucker for the Rune - but with a 'coil-split' push/pull volume knob. This handy feature enables you to split the humbucker into a single-coil pickup by just pulling the knob upwards. The versatile split or full humbucker option gives the player a different range of tones for rhythm, lead and fingerstyle.
Shorter Scale Length
The Rune is still a full-size guitar but features a scale-length of 24.75" as opposed to 25.5". This means there is less string tension across the neck, making it easier to hold down chords and bend strings up and down. The shorter overall length of the guitar means that it is less cumbersome which does also appeal to those with a smaller body frame.
