I'm selling my KTM 950 Adventure S I've owned it for nearly 4 years and we’ve had some good
times. It's a carburettor
model, better than the injected models as the bike is much smoother and is more
economical. MOT
until March 2017 Passed
with 2 advisories, front brake light switch and front brake pads, now both
replaced. It has
done 46,000 miles (don’t let that put you off, that’s not much for a bike like
this and it comes with documented proof it has been well maintained). The bike
has a lot of accessories, so, starting from the front. KTM Touring screen (original included in sale too) KTM 2 stage Heated grips Hand guards KTM Trip Master Switch 12 volt auxiliary socket Bar risers Air-Ram wind deflector by Adventure Parts Brand new battery Touratech Tank Bag Crash Bars Carbon Fibre fairing protectors (could be seen as superfluous if you have crash bars but they look good all the same) Facet upgraded fuel pump modification Camel Toe Touratech Seat Scottoiler Akrapovic Pipes Hepco & Becker KTM Panniers and frames Kappa 42 litre Top Box Continental TKC 70 Tyres, with about 2500 miles on them. Recent oil and filter change. Original KTM tool kit Spare keys The 2003 model is, I’ve been told the only one which has sparkle in the paint, it’s hard to show that in the photos. KTM case with manual, hand book and service book which shows an impressive (but not complete) service history, it’s also full of receipts, old MOT’s. Now, if you are anything like me, 2003 doesn’t seem that long ago but it is a 13 year old adventure bike and it’s had a few adventures and therefore has a few adventure scars. The heated grips are worn but still work perfectly The left hand crash bar has seen action but is straight and protected the bike for any other damage. Annoyingly the seat had a tiny ‘L’ shaped cut in it, it has been professionally repaired and is barely noticeable but I still notice it. The pipes are unbaffeld and have been since I owned it, it sounds lovely, performs great and has always passed its MOT without any mention of the noise. (or at least if they did mention it, I didn’t hear them over the pipes) I purchased the panniers off eBay after owning the bike for a year, as it had come with the pannier frames attached. The LH pannier has had a repair to the bottom. I doubt the double skin water jacket is waterproof but I've never tried it, plastic tasting water has little appeal other than in a parched Dakar environment. Other than that there are no faults I can think of, the black plastic decals have a few bubbles but it starts runs and handles great with its White Power suspension. No reserve and a low staring price, you are welcome to view before you bid but you bid to buy not to point your finger and shuffle from one foot the other saying things like ‘Well I thought it would look more orange that this, can you knock three hundred quid off?’ £100 PayPal deposit within 12 hours of auction ending.
