Jaguar D Type replica of the Le Mans winning car that Stirling Moss and co used to race. Built from Jaguar parts and engine from Jaguar XJ6 and XJS doner cars (typical of the recreations of the D and C Types) including reconditioned engine still being run-in, new clutch, brake hoses, distributer and suspension. £10,000 spent in the last year. GRP body. Registered as 1976 Jaguar XJ6- this is much better than the Q plates some replicas or kit cars are on. V5 document and MOT of course all good. No accidents. Personalized number plate included in sale. The car is an incredible drive, turns heads everywhere, partly due to its looks but mainly due to the sound! It's awesome- please see video here to listen to it- https://www.dropbox.com/s/j3b4foca5c1hits/IMG_0880.MOV?dl=0
Ready for the summer! Happy bidding. Come and see her in Poole, Dorset. Many thanks.

Hi, due to popular request-
the car was made in South Africa by an engineer. The fifth D Type replica he's made.
Copy of OKV1 I think
Not Realm, Ram or Proteous.
No problems with V5 or DVLA or MOT at all.
thanks, G

To be clear to everyone asking- this is a UK registered car. It has the V5 document and MOT etc. The number plate is a UK plate, I have just spaced the numbers incorrectly to try and have a closer relationship with one of the original DTypes- OKV1. Mine is a replica of the 'short nose' D type. Of the 16 cars originally built, the length was increased and a tail fin added to win further Le Mans GPs in the '50's, and these are known as the 'long nose,' but mine is the original shape.

I am overseas until March 25 however my mechanic can show you the car Thurs/ Fri 23/24 March by prior arrangement- please contact me here if you're keen.
