A Plethora of Pigs ~ Older Piece ~ Treble on Base!
The Harmony Kingdom box figurine, Hog Heaven, features 4 pigs somewhat piled on one another. Hog Heaven has gone through three color variations. The first 1,400 released featured an 2 ivory, a tan, and a pinkish pig. The next 4,200 were left unpainted. Then, after collectors complained, the remainder were once again painted as the original. This piece is the painted version; the variation in color you see is due to the stain. Peter's signature mouse is present on this piece and can be found hiding near the legs of one of the pigs. The mouse was added in 1997. The inscription on the ear of one of the pigs, "Belle 20.4.96", refers to the arrival of Andrea's (Peter's wife) horse, Belle.
Carved by Master Carver Peter Calvesbert, Hog Heaven was released in June 1996 and retired in October 2000 with a final edition size of 26,018. The interior has an apple (the pigs' favorite fruit) and the HBC logo. The treble crown stamp is on the base.
The piece is in mint condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It comes in an unlabeled Harmony Kingdom box with HK brochure; the box is in excellent condition. The photos are of the piece being offered. Please email me if you would like additional information or photos.
