Here we have for auction a delightful vintage 1950’s child’s or dolls tea
set made of pottery. The graphics and details on this set are super depicting the
Enid Blyton story book figures Noddy, Big Ears, Tessie Bear, Policeman Plod,
and Milko The Milkman. The colours are lovely. There is no maker’s mark to be
found but we believe this was made by Biltons (England) in the 1950s. The set
consists of a lidded teapot, a sugar bowl, a creamer/jug and 3 cups and
saucers all of which are in EXCELLENT condition (no chips, cracks or repairs).
Mentioned for absolute accuracy is the fact that this set has all over crazing
which is common in china from this era.
The measurements are:cups 4.5cm
high, saucers 7.5cm in diameter, sugar bowl 2.5cm high, milk jug 5cm high and a
tea pot with lid 10cm high and 14.5cm from handle to spout long.
It is VERY rare to find a complete set
like this and the fact that it in perfect/mint condition is a bonus….
This would make a lovely Christening gift or for the new grandparents
and/or lovely keepsake for the Noddy collector ...
