FLAMING INFERNO
BURNING FIRE LIGHT
Flame enhanced VERSION III
TABLETOP PEDESTAL DESIGN

We'll bet any magic performer in the world would put his stamp of approval on this
light effect. For not only is it very bright, but it will instantly light up surrounding walls
with deep orange/yellow flickering light, just like a campfire. One unusual secondary
effect reported by many users (and this is of course completely psychological) is that the
room (and they themselves by extension ) actually feels warmer.

We showed it to 3 friends the first night we acquired a sample (I was lucky to be the first seller
to have these on ebayland many years ago), and you should've seen their jaws drop.
I'll never forget that.

Considerably less memorable, however, is the first time I saw this thing, and was I ever
fooled (oh yeah...big time)..... I watched in abject horror as a little girl put her hands in the
'flames'
.

Thinking instinctively she'd be quickly incinerated I .... (yep, you guessed it) .... bravely ,
bravely, ran over at high speed to 'save' her.

What a hero I was back then, at least in fanciful theory (my altruism didn't even warrant
applause in the end). Will I ever live that one down? Probably not this year, maybe not
next either. At least my relatives and paramedic friends never found out. And most
importantly, it didn't make the local paper.

THE HEART OF THE MATTER :

Closeup of tinted lens/ quartz halogen
light assembly, one of two. These are
easily obtainable
2 pin 20 watt.

Originally, this Version III was hard to come by in the U.S., and in retrospect I was very,
very lucky to have gotten any at all.

At night, outside, count on a visibility of ONE TO TWO CITY BLOCKS (my
unscientific guestimate, haven't actually measured it).

Furthermore, realize that the light assembly is so intense, you do not need total darkness
to get the effect
(although darkness does indeed provide a more dramatic setting; after all,
this is what fire does for a living.....it illuminates stuff).

This is one brilliant lighting trick, and here's the secret:

Two high-intensity quartz halogen tinted bulbs are used, an imbedded high speed fan, and specially arranged silk fabric to create
the illusion of fire. A forceful column of rushing air suspends the fabric in midair (and collapses when turned off).

With precise components positioned just right (bulbs are permanently angled 45 degrees), the effect is complete.

HERE'S SOMETHING FUN.... USING 2 TABLETOPS AND LOGS
IN A HOLLYWOOD, CA STORE DISPLAY:

Angled view of part of the main assembly :
Silk 'flames' are attached with velcro.
Open grille vents permit swift upward airflow.

You can't tell it's an illusion unless you're right on top of it, and even then it's still
quite spectacular.

Best viewing distance is 5 feet or more (even several hundred feet is feasible).

This will bring life to any indoor party, a nightime poolside event, backyard patio barbecue or even a Rave.

Halloween will never be the same (what a no-brainer this is); just imagine the most
unbelievable haunted house ever seen on planet earth (or pick your planet).

Imagine a pair of these on either side of a walkway, conjuring up images of ancient Rome
or Greece.

And talk about throwing an exotic dinner party! Or a birthday party to never forget.

On a much more adventurous note, a couple let me know that it's a quantum leap above
the usual 'lovemaking by candlelight'. All right then.

Another resourceful customer described how she used these in her Polynesian Tiki bar, a
most fiery idea.

Last but hardly least, one ambitious (and creative) type took hers apart to create a fake
fireplace
using real firewood (see testimonial link below).

SPECS :

Unit itself is 11 inches high and the top 'bowl' part is 8 inches wide.

However, envision a total distance of about 17 inches from the very
bottom of the base to the top of the flames.

On/off switch is built into the cord for easy access, and power
consumption is less than
48 watts.

• 110 volts AC plug-in operation
Soooo..... if you're outside the U.S. or Canada, please note you'll need a cheap voltage converter
to make this work with your electrical system there. They're available in any trvelor electronics store.

A key element to consider in using these is....
THE SHADOW EFFECT
(see picture example above left)

I once utilized 3 of these during a summer weekend backyard outdoor party behind a 3-story house. The effect was awesome in every way.

Due to the careful placement, giant shadows were cast over the stairs and framework of the building.

Needless to say, it was the perfect background setting for this event. So keep in mind it's not just the flame effect in itself that will make your
guests sit up and take notice, but the undulating shadows being thrown against surrounding objects as well.

Of course it also makes for a stunning household decoration, or any setting you can think of that would be enhanced by the warmth
of a live fire effect
(restaurant/bar perhaps, or a store window display).

One fellow stuck his unit in his office equipment store window and stopped not only sidewalk pedestrian traffic but passing cars as well
(he was laughing as he told me this).

Trade shows are a good place to have one for attracting long-distance attention to your booth (has already been used in car and home
shows).

I can also foresee nervous neighbors getting ready to call the fire department when they glimpse it in your window.

Brand new, in the box, never used (except that I test every one before they go out), have fun if you end up acquiring one!

Another plus, these take up very little space.

You'll be getting the upgraded GENERATION (version) III model which uses (2) 20 Watt high-intensity Quartz Halogen bulbs. The
originals used 10 Watt bulbs, so the increase in brightness is commensurate.

These are the very latest units with a number of small improvements (but which together make for a much better performing device) including
a grille which more effectively directs air flow......consequently the flame looks even more realistic.

The Halogen bulbs are easily replaceable by the way. Made in Taiwan, not China, so fan assembly and circuitry are of the highest quality.

I've tested about 4 competing versions of this model, and they all fall short in terms of both realism and performance.

Some units use silk cloth that is off-color. This results in a flame that looks somewhat unrealistic.

Another one I tested used filters that were just not quite right in terms of color rendition.....resulting in an artificial look.

If you need further convincing (a concept we understand quite well....we're the most sceptical buyers on earth), here's a link with a hodgepodge of
raving comments from past buyers, plus a bunch of new ideas for using Flame Lights that have floated in recently (special thanx to everyone
who contributed) such as fireplace displays, exhibits etc..... entertaining, and a must read:

These use easy-to-replace Quartz Halogen Bulbs, and yep, they include the orange filter.

It's often a good thing to have spares on hand, especially if your Flame Light is being used for a party, stage play, or other major event.

Each flamer takes 2 bulbs.

Click on bulb picture at left for the direct store link if you'd like to add these to your order (about half the typical office supply store price).

"Tell the truth-it was in the mail BEFORE I ordered, right ?"

Or...
"Seller employs delivery methods years ahead of our time"

Plus...
"Dude, the quickness of your response borders on scary, but I certainly appreciate it."

And this, just in:
