Sodium nitrite (NaNO2) is used as a color fixative. It is white to slightly yellowish. It is very soluable in water and is hygroscopic. When exposed to air, it will slowly oxidize into sodium nitrate. This is a strong oxidizing agent.
It is also used in manufacturing diazo dyes, nitroso compounds, and other organic compounds. Also in dyeing and printing textile fabrics and bleaching fibers. In photography, it's used as a laboratory reagent and a corrosion inhibitor. It's also used in metal coatings for phosphatizing and detinning and it is also used in the manufacturing of rubber chemicals. It can also be used as an electrolyte in electrochemical grinding manufacturing processes.
 
HAZARDOUS CHEMICAL: This item may not be compatible with other hazardous materials. Please view the compatibility chart if you plan to order multiple, hazardous items together. If you need two chemicals which are not compatible, please order them separately, as they cannot be shipped in the same box.
Hazardous chemicals can only be shipped to the 48 US states and Canada. They also cannot be shipped to an APO. Hazardous chemicals may only be shipped via fedex ground.
This product ships as a consumer commodity ORM-D. There are no extra fees to ship this item.
This product conforms with USPS Publication 52 and ships as a consumer commodity ORM-D. Class 5.1 Oxidizer.

Shipping Restrictions
Fedex ground is the ONLY option for hazardous items (displays as UPS ground on ebay) unless otherwise specified for that item.
Damage Claims
When shipped through fedex, if your product arrives damaged, please contact us immediately so we can file a claim and send you a new product (if available). If your item appears to be stuck in transit, please contact us so we can resolve the issue. You have 21 days from the day of shipment to have a claim filed.
How to combine items into one shipment
To combine shipments on ebay, purchase all items first without paying. Once the final item has been purchased, proceed with normal checkout to pay. Be sure all items are checked off to combine into one shipment. You may need to push a "reset" or "recalculate" button to get the right shipping price. If shipping doesn't seem right, push "request total from seller."
