eBay
This sale is for one set of 24 authentic 1930s vintage ceramic border tiles. This 24 piece tile set extends 12 feet long. These tiles measure 1/2-inch wide x 6 inches long by about 1/2 inch thick.  They are unusually thick, which is why I estimate their dating from the 1930s. The glaze is also unusual with an interesting textural  quality that is especially gorgeous. There's something about the heft and feel of vintage tiles that only other tile-lovers like me can understand. And these particular tiles have it!! BTW, because of their thickness, these tiles will "stand proud" of the regular wall tiles you use, but that is good because it adds a dimensional effect.  Want flush? Have your tile contractor leave out a 5/8th inch strip of cement board where these tiles will set and set them back against the wall deeper than the rest of the tiles. Check out my OTHER SALES of vintage tiles!

NOTE: This pink color is slightly lighter and warmer than the otherwise similar 3/4-width tiles I also have listed. In other words, the two styles are not a perfect match.  These are not modern replicas. I got them many years ago from an old tile store, now long-defunkt, that still had thousands of old, unsold, never-installed tiles from the 1920s through the 1950s. These tiles are in virtually perfect, unused condition. Be aware that there may be a slight chip here or there but I have selected out all the bad tiles so you won't complain to me. I combine shipping, of course.

PRICING: Dal Tile Co. or Home Depot sell plain liners in boring colors for $2.00 each. My prices reflect the beauty, scarcity, vintage, and specialness of these tiles and I think they're STILL a bargain. SHIPPING: If the shipping cost seems high, remember that these tiles are heavy! I pack EXTREMELY well. I live in Ventura county 1.5 hrs. from Los Angeles. Pick-ups, and cash 'n carry are fine.
