Item Description The following auction is for a new, mint on sealed card (MOSC) 3 3/4" two-pack--a duo of the G.I. Joe franchise's modern characters: Heavy Duty and Skullbuster--a pair of figures from Hasbro's G.I. Joe vs. Cobra collection. In 2002, this piece was sent to its sole owner: the creator of the revered G.I. Joe team of the 1980’s and beyond: Larry Hama, the “Godfather of G.I. Joe,” current writer of the über-popular G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, and writer/editor/artist of projects too numerous to count (from Batman to Wolverine to G.I. Joe: Special Missions, etc.). This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for diehard G.I. Joe aficionados to obtain a piece of toy history, signed by Mr. Hama in silver ink on an aesthetically-appealing corner of the toy package. Although the provenance of this item is quite short—it has only been owned by Mr. Hama himself, having been stored away at his artist’s studio in NYC for nearly twenty years—there are some VERY minor defects to the sealed package (please note the images). However, while the package may not be mint, the contents inside is C-10 DEAD MINT—everything inside the packaging remains factory-sealed and supremely intact. Regardless, you will NOT be disappointed with the condition of this artifact. Since this toy package remains sealed, the toy[s] comes complete with ALL accessories, paperwork and inner & outer packaging. Everything has been adult-owned and comes from a smoke-free home. I have been tasked by Mr. Hama himself to place these VERY exclusive items on eBay (I don’t believe Mr. Hama has ever sold signed G.I. Joe action figures on eBay before), as he and I have worked together on a number of projects for various companies. I myself am the author of The Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe: 1982-1994 (1st & 2nd Editions), and I’m currently presiding over IDW’s ambitious deluxe hardcover reprint encyclopedia project: G.I. Joe—The Complete Collection. For, not only have I been acquiring collectibles for the past thirty-five years, I’ve also established a reputation as one of the world’s foremost experts on toys and action figures. I have published hundreds of articles and dozens of books upon such franchises as G.I. Joe, Star Wars, Transformers, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and both Marvel AND D.C.
