eBay

Hi and welcome to my auction for my pride and joy, my Ducati Monster.  As you can see its a stunning bike and unlike any other Ducati Monster here on ebay.  It turns heads everwhere you go... And ears!.  A lot of distinctive low end grunt with the 90° Twin engine coupled with the Famous Carbon Fiber Termignoni full Exhaust system which was factory tuned and jetted to cater for the pipes. There are also so many real Carbon Fiber parts added which cost a lot of money. This is the rare ie version which came with twin floating disc version on the front so the Brembos added with this do a very nice job. Its got a K+N Air Filter and also a K+N engine breather filter. It starts first time every time and has been regularly maintained to manufacturers specifications. As this is the injected version theres no need for cleaning out Carbs which makes a more efficient and reliable machine.

V5 Present in my name. I have a Black and a Red key. This bike even still has the original Shell sticker on the clutch cover which is quite rare as a lot of time these peel off with too much heat.   As you can see from the pictures this bike is highly modified with Carbon Fiber all round which makes this super special. I had wide 160 Bridgestone Battlax Tyres fitted rear and a 120 on the front, which have won awards for street grip and they have plenty of tread left. The gold brembos have been serviced recently with Castrol Red Rubber Grease on the seals and pistons for peace of mind alone with the best fluid - Castrol Response.

This bike has braided hoses all around even on the hydraulic Clutch for excellent braking/clutch response, oh and not to forget this model also has the wet clutch unlike other Ducati's with the noisy dry clutch. There is an Italian coloured rear reflector which gives the bike character.  I have had the belts replaced 400 miles ago along with the premium Shell Oil and filter change as recommended in the manual. Oil change has been carried out at 3000 mile intervals previously but for peace of mind I had it changed as soon as I got the bike. It has also just had a FULL service just a couple of months ago before parking up for the winter (literally done 10miles since). I have only ever added premium Unleaded fuel as its a higher Octane and better for the Italian Engine.

I have also added an LED rear Tail light costing £120 which looks really smart, it has an integrated number plate light too (white led so looks clean). Better than the old lamp style, and at least the bulb will never need replacing in the near future. There is a real genuine Ducati Carbon Fiber Front Fender on this and the only real niggle with this is that I left my disc lock on and reversed the bike unfortunately blistering the carbon slightly but it easily covered with a sticker, just wanted to let you know it's under there.

Another great addition to this bike is the Aluminium Billet belt covers which have sight glasses so you can actually see the engine moving and the belts turning over which certainly draws a lot of attention from everybody.  These covers cost me £290 and I have the catalogue which I bought them from online.  These are also useful for checking the condition of the belts without removing the covers.

I have added a carbon fiber rear brake piston cover as pictured below which cost me £60 and also Ducati Performance side covers which are holographic high dense Carbon Fiber which look nice those cost £160.   I was worried that my knees might scratch the perfect paintwork so I ordered a pair of TechSpec Tank Knee Protectors which I must say are one of the best purchases I made!! They were a bit expensive for what they are @ £70, but they really change the handling of the bike and make turning easier and leaning and that is why a lot of racing teams use them on their bikes. I can safely say the tank is fully protected from most scratches as I bought an official ducati upper chrome protector and a real Carbon Fiber lower total protector as pictured which look really nice together again a bit pricey at £95 for the two but they look nice. I also thought i'd change the key guard from the standard Black to again, Real Carbon Fiber costing £80 with fitting included.

Underneath the bottom Yoke, standard Ducati's have a metal shield which I think stops water from getting flicked up into the wires etc, so I also replaced that which a genuine Carbon Fiber version which cost £40. I replaced the front sprocket cover with a Carbon Fiber version costing £70.   I have also replaced the chain with the best Gold X-RING model costing £80 at the same time I had all new pads fitted and had the brakes serviced. Other than the new Official Ducati decals ordered from Ducati sheffield I also added bar end mirrors, which everyone comments on. They work bloody great too.

Please bear in mind this bike has the best cans for the Duke. The Carbon Fiber Termignionis twins with removable baffles which were just over £1200 extra for the bike when it was new over the standard. And these were suprisingly factory fitted and in my opinion look the DB's.

I've just had the baffles put back in but are easily removed again.

On the dash of the Duke on the left you have your Speed MPH clock, and on the right you have your Tachometer RPM clock.  There is a temperature sensor on the engine which tests the oil temperature and lets you know when its safe to ride the bike which is displayed in digital format on the LCD screen, aswell as a digital low fuel reading and also the time.  Obviously the LCD shows miles covered and also a miles reading which you can reset to measure trip distance.  The lights on the dash include Indicators/High Beam/Oil/Engine/Neutral.

Almost forgot I have fitted very suited LED indicators all round which really cleaned up the look of the bike and work way better than the original boiled sweets!

So in total this bike has had nearly £1800 spent on it personally by me in the last 9 months on parts. so as you can see this is a very special Duke.

If you wish to test ride then please make sure your a competent rider and fully insured just in case you drop it and make me cry and the money is in my hand.

Done 15000 miles and can be verified on VOSA website, will be sold with 12months MOT and 6months tax! Can't say fairer than that!

The gloss paintwork is in A1 condition not a single visible scratch and the trellis frame is excellent aswell with no visible rust. Nuts and bolts have all been replaced where possible. The front head has some pitting and slight flaking which is totally normal for a Ducati, the rest of the engine is sweet.  This is probably the best condition Ducati Monster for the year. Very well looked after always garaged and covered too.

The Termi carbon exhausts have removable baffles (although loud anyways with them in) It is not recommended to take the baffles out as I discovered it set off many car alarms and rattled windows on peoples houses.  As you can imagine, the sound of a Ducati is very distinctive with the twin engine. Especially with these pipes. Its insane. But very good fun.

As mentioned before I have just had the bike serviced and a full once over by a specialist. They change the yoke bearing and commented how tidy the bike is and well it runs.  Feel free to bring a mechanic with you.

I also have a belly pan fairing for the bike with fitting kit (£100). It would make the bike look AMAZING (google it for pics). This isn't fitted yet but will go with the bike.... I need to leave 'something' for the next owner to do.

The important bit! I have set the reserve at 3k. I have no intention of taking less. I would MUCH rather keep the bike for another summer, I have been offered 2900 in px by SMC ducati against a new bike. There is a standard one of the same year, mileage and model for 3200 on eBay as we speak. Yes it's a dealer but the bike is totally standard. If you don't want to pay 3k+ then please buy one of the others available. I have put too much love sweat and money into her to let her go cheap.

I would possible consider a swap for a retro car/ ford why? (no shite). But cash is king!

Viewings welcome! Any excuse to show it off. I'm also happy to have the bike delivered ( I've been quoted around £100 for most of England and happy to sort it for further a field but please arrange this before the end of the auction).
