Shipping

All shipping rates are calculated through Ebay’s shipping calculator.  Factors that influence the shipping rate you pay include method chosen (USPS or UPS), shipping destination, weight and size of box, and whether or not you wish to insure your package.  

Packages will only be insured upon request.  Please contact us for the appropriate shipping rate for insured packages.  Chicagoland Toys and Hobbies is not liable for packages that may be damaged in shipment by the shipper.

Domestic:

We ship USPS and UPS domestically and offer (4) different standard shipping options: USPS Parcel Select, UPS Ground, USPS Priority Mail and UPS Next Day Air. If there is a service you would like to use that isn’t listed, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note that USPS First Class is only offered on items that weigh less than 16oz.

International:

We use USPS First Class, Priority and Express options for our international sales. Shipping cost is based on the weight and size of the package along with destination. All import fees are the buyers responsibility. Please note 1st Class shipping is limited to items up to 4lb in weight and $400 value.

Terms of Sale

Whether  you have a 1 or 1,000,000 feedback score, every customer is important  and we strive to complete each transaction in a timely and pleasant manner.  Therefore, we ask that all orders are paid for promptly.  We allow (4) days after a listing ends before an unpaid item case is opened.  At that time an additional (4) days is given so payment can be received for the item(s).

Chicagoland Toys and Hobbies is a retail brick and mortar store. We are family owned and operated and have been since 1972. On occasion, an item listed online may sell in our store on the same day. If an item is no longer available, we will attempt to get the item from our distributors or manufacturers. If that is not possible, we will promptly contact you and refund your payment immediately.

Returning Merchandise

When you receive your order, always keep the paperwork that is included with it in case you wish to return or exchange an item. Also, save any emails you receive about you order, as they may provide important information.

A return merchandise authorization (RMA) is required for all returns. You can call or email Chicagoland Toys and Hobbies and we will issue one for you. Returns can only be requested within 14 days of the product shipment date. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

Returned items must be in their original packaging and in new condition, or they will be rejected and sent back to you.

A restocking fee may apply to returned items.

Defective Returns

If the item you wish to return is inoperable but has no apparent damage, it is considered defective. If you receive defective merchandise, please call the manufacturer of the item as it will be covered under warranty. This only applies to new items.

Damaged Returns

Damaged merchandise includes items that have been damaged in shipping. If a shipment arrives at your door with obvious shipping damage, please refuse the delivery. If you have already accepted delivery and then find shipping damage, please call the shipper immediately.

If you receive damaged merchandise, please save all packaging material and paperwork -- do not throw anything away! You need to contact us first before you attempt to return the merchandise yourself, you jeopardize our chances of making a claim, and you may not receive credit for the return.
