This is a Jin Ding 17 Jewel Windup Cloisonne Pocket Watch, circa 1980s made in Shanghai, China with the original case and paperwork. The watch is in like-new condition and it keeps the correct time. We will guarantee your satisfaction with your purchase. The watch has a beautiful goldtone finish with classic cloisonne designs as seen. The original paperwork indicates that that case is made from copper. The watch was a beautiful, bright face with Roman numerals. The watch has a sweep second hand. The case is 1 3/4" in diameter and the face is 1 5/16" The goldtone metal fob is 10" long with two goldtone heart charms. The cloisonne is on the front side only. The back side of the case is goldtone metal with floral designs as seen in one of the photos. The watch has a very nice presentation-type box / case with Chinese design fabric covering and red velvet interior. The original paperwork is on card stock, folded across the center to fit in the case. The other side of the card has an illustration pointing out the features of the watch with respect to opening the case and winding. All of the information on that side is written in Chinese. There is a nice large photo that will allow you to read the information about the quality and construction of the watch. We do not know specifically how old the watch is but the company was founded in 1986 and since the watch has a windup movement, my assumption is that this is one of their earlier models but I do not know for sure.
