Sony LDP-1000A Laserdisc player
Can be considered NEW? In my judgment this unit has never been pulled out of the box, but this is not a guarantee since Im not an expert. As you can see there are yellow tapes sealing the bag to the unit. I will tell you I pulled the yellow sticker on the manual/cable bag and now I can never stick it back together again and I regret doing this. But the yellow tape on the units bag is stuck and staying. More info and model pics for a similar unit...this website displays the ldp-1100a which should be similar to the ldp-1000 that Im selling) http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laserdisc_archive/sony/sony_ldp-1000a/sony_ldp-1000a.htm According to this website, this LDP-1100A unit (the one Im selling is LDP-1000A) was used in some of the earliest FMV games in video game history! This is an NTSC laser disc player that is used in Bega's Battle and Cobra Command. It is not compatible with the newer "LDP" series players such as the LDP-1450, LDP-1550, etc. See the Programming Manual for a detailed look at the communication of this laser disc player. Found 1 youtube video showing the unit ldp-1000A http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZovevjYqPEY This item appears to be brand new although the box has been opened. Includes Manual, cables, and whatever is inside the box. It appears to never have been taken out of the box and I wont do so either. Everything looks new and perfect. Box has serial # card as seen in picture. Sold as is, untested and as a novelty only. This may be the newest possible unit you can buy, but no guarantees. Sold as is. Item will be shipped inside a bigger box to protect the original box for collectors. Item includes insurance. Will consider international shipping with EMS express mail service only which will be very expensive. This is the only service that provides insurance and tracking.
