Microwave (Radar) sensors uses microwaves to trigger the system. It sends out the microwave radio energy into its path and waits for an object to reflect the energy back into it. MRS is a new generation, microwave based proximity sensor module. Protects your car cockpit and is mainly used on convertible cars or motorcycles, detecting any intrusion attempts.

The MRS detect any movement around the sensor. It is immune to the temperature, sounds and wind variations that cause false detections

Microwave sensors send out ultra high frequency sound waves, and detect the reflections. If someone walks near the sensor (range adjustable onboard), they will start to reflect the microwaves. The receiver detects the change in reflections, and if the object remains within the microwave field for a length of time (depending on the input delay on the alarm it is used with), it will trigger the alarm after a few seconds or straight away. It has an maximum effective range of 3m. It incorporates a sensitivity adjustment to help avoid false alarms. 12v DC input. The output is negative when triggered. The interior zone instantly blasts the full alarm if someone leans into the passenger compartment. Especially recommended for convertibles and other soft-sided or open vehicles. An adjustable radar-based sensor that detects mass. As it is not affected by wind, noise or temperature, it is ideal for protecting the interior of convertibles even with the top down! Its small size allows the Microwave Sensor to be mounted almost anywhere. In addition, microwave technology does not require line of sight like most infrared units. This allows the Microwave Sensor be hidden behind plastic, wood, fibreglass, cloth, glass, etc and not effect the aesthetics of your installation.
