Condition Ratings:
10+ ..... NEW WITH TAGS
10 ...... NEW WITHOUT TAGS or LIKE new without tags. A garment is free of any defect. Has no fade, snags, holes, stains, or loose seams, or missing buttons etc.
9.5 ..... A garment is in GREAT condition. A piece typically has minor flaws that have been caused from very little use. Examples being extremely slight fade as from one wash, a few minor surface snags that are not noticeable and do not pucker. Tiny pin hole size stain that will probably wash out but is visible under very close inspection but not first looks.
9 ....... A garment has WONDERFUL overall condition. Wear is from normal use but not substantial. Examples include some wear balls that may - may not have been shaved but not an extensive amount. A missing button that has been replaced. Some fade is usually represented in black & dark colors but no sun damage or uneven discoloration.
8 ....... A garment is in good condition. Has sturdy seams and no major damage. There may have been well done repairs that are noted. It may have a combination of faults but none that is considered major (like a a dark stain, hole, rip or puckered snag) An 8 grade may have overall minor fuzz balls, or fade but not stains or holes also.... or may have one stain that is noted that does not detract from the design and may or may not come out if treated.
7 ....... A 7 grade is still sturdy and has flaws but but would still be a great piece to wear. An example would be a black shirt that is still sturdy and had no holes, stains, or lost buttons. But has overall fade and some surface snags
6 ........ I typically will not sell a piece that is a 6 or lower but the exceptions are concert t-shirts, Harley T-shirts, true vintage pieces that hold historical signifigance or collectibility. Any and all defects will be noted. An example of a 6 would be a faded Harley shirt with a spot stain and a cracking screen print, but that is sold because of its collectibility and feel.
5 ........ Will not bother with clothing that is substandard.
NOTE: Special Exceptions may or may not be given to rare items as far as numerical grade when the item's collectibility out weighs the condition and or the "destructured" look and feel actually add to the items value. )i.e. vintage jeans, t-shirts, etc.) All major defects will be noted.
