We have for your consideration today this vintage collectible PACIFIC MILLS BALANCED SHEETS ad that was carefully removed from a 1946 national periodical.
It features a beautiful color illustration of a young woman, in her birthday suit, awakening from her restful slumber.
The ad measures approximately 14" X 10-3/8".
Given its age of over 66 years, the ad is in VERY GOOD condition. Understandably, there is some oxidation, a natural consequence of aging paper. In addition, there are printer's ink or other smudges at the left corner and in the bottom margin, about a third of the way from the right corner. These factors, however, do not detract from the core integrity of this original ad and may even contribute to its vintage authenticity.
The ad will be carefully placed, along with an acid-free backing board, in a protective poly sleeve. On both sides of the mailer will be printed the request, "PLEASE DO NOT BEND!"
Matted and framed, this lovely ad will surely be a point of delight and conversation at the office or a lively complement to your living room decor. The vintage ad enthusiast, ephemera specialist, keeper of scrapbooks, and/or nostalgia buff will find it to be a most welcome addition to his or her collection.
