Here is this late 19th century original oil painting. The painting is signed, "D Buongiorno". Donatus Buongiorno is a listed American artist (1865-?). It is in its original frame. The painting measures 12" x 9". The painting is in excellent condition with no losses. There is crackling in the painting. The painting is an oil on canvas. It depicts a man in a turban smoking a pipe. This artist painted scenes from the Mediterranean and perhaps traveled there. The frame has a tiny old loss on left center "shell" portion of the frame. There is a loss on the inner edge on the upper left corner. The frame measures 20 1/2" x 17 1/2".
