When I entered the store there was a section roped off.  I asked a clerk about that and the people standing around it.  She said they were getting in turtles.  I watched some people empty roughly 15 boxes of MOC turtles into 3 children's wading pools.  When they pulled the rope back,  I watched women look like sharks to get at the toys.  I thought this had a chance to be a great collectible.  In my job I traveled a lot and that helped me to get to many stores.  I also knew an assistant manager at a toys-R-Us.  I asked him to be on the look out for variations and told him if he could also get other people that worked for Toys-R-Us to send variations to him I would pay an extra $2 per turtle. I got most of most of the ones with partial rubber limbs and heads in late 88  through 90.  A friend at Toys-R-Us told me that  since they were churning out hundreds of thousands of turtles they were going to do a test and see if kids would accept the rubber ones as rubber was cheaper then plastic.  They did a few of the old  guys, original leo, don, mike, shredder, etc... and  the original four on Movie I. Kids hated that they did not shine. They stopped after that.    About 3 years ago I started getting emails saying that the rubber heads I was selling were really a plastic head that I took a picture of using trick photography.  Last year I was getting emails saying the ones I called rubber head were really turtles that got too much dust on them. SURE--  But in the last month I have gotten 3 emails saying that this 1988 Leo was not a Playmate issued turtle.  If you think that, ---please ----TURN----ME----IN!!!----when you do,  please mention footballorangeguy.  The Company Playmate -----BOUGHT ----- roughly 40 different MOC  turtles from me -4-8 years ago that they said  they wanted  for  display. Again this is Playmate (I think I dealt with the president of the company by phone at that time.)  They liked them well enough to send me back roughly the same number of MOC turtles as a gift. These were the newer turtles that were  going to put out shortly.

THE  BOXES OF TURTLES SHOWN IN THE PICTURES ARE NOT PART OF THIS LISTING. THE TURTLES WILL BE SOLD SEPARATELY. I PUT IN THESE PICTURES TO SHOW THAT I HAVE BEEN COLLECTING AND SELLING TURTLES FOR MANY YEARS.  IN THE LAST PICTURE OF THIS LISTING I AM SHOWING:  A.  the last  box of turtles I have pulled to start listing and B.  a box of turtles I got from a guy in France many years ago.

On another note---  I have also been told by Disney collectors that the

3-d poster of the 3-d movie UP that I have listed,  does not exist.  I got it from a friend in England and is definitely a 3-d poster.
