GOOD to VERY GOOD CONDITION

This sale is for a vintage hardback edition entitled “The Gods of Pegana,” by Lord Dunsany, with illustrations in photogravure by S. H. Sime, including a frontispiece

It was published by Elkin Mathews, of London, in MCMXIX (1919) and is the third edition.

Edward Plunkett (1878-1957), the 18th Baron Dunsany held one of the oldest titles in the Irish peerage, from a distinguished Irish family whose history goes back to the twelfth century.  He was author of several Irish fantasy books such as this.

The book measures 7.8 inches x 5.75 inches and has 94 pages (+ illustrations), which are hand-cut to all rims.

The book is in very good neat condition for its age save a tear by the hinge to the top page 1, with minor wear/bumps to the original hardback cover. There are NO inscriptions/book-plates and NO other ink or pencil markings in the book. The binding is very good with no loose or missing pages.  There is no dust-jacket.

A wonderfully illustrated vintage edition.
