1924 Indian Scout V-Twin

Indian’s Chiefs and Fours were at the head of the company’s catalog, but many would argue it was the Scout that gave Indian its soul. Like the first Chiefs, the 1920 Scout was the handiwork of designer Charles Franklin. The middleweight Scout was powered by 37-cubic-inch (600cc) V-Twin running a three speed gearbox; it was capable of 60 mph. A hit from the start the bike gained a quick reputation for reliability: “You can’t wear out an Indian Scout” went a catchphrase of the day.

This is an original unrestored 1924 Indian Scout that was disassembled and stored since the early 80's when it was purchased in Australia and shipped back to the US and stored.  It has had the original engine rebuilt with new Pistons, Rings, Magneto and Valves.  There are new Tires, Rims and Spokes but it has the original hubs.  It also has a period correct Nitrojector headlight.  This is the only complete unrestored Indian Scout available for sale anywhere in the world. This is a unique opportunity to own one of the most sort after motorcycles in the world.
