SUMMARY:
A solid silver, key-wind American lever, 16 sized, going barrel pocket watch, and ticking away strongly and comes with a winding key and keeping good time. The watch signed and made by Waltham of America. The watch just cleaned and overhauled by my watch-maker and keeping very good time for a 125 year old English pocket watch.

THE DIAL: 96% mint, the off-white colored enamel dial with black Roman numerals and in bright condition with no chips and a few hairlines. The dial with blue steel spade hands. Diameter is 42 mm and signed by A.W.Co. Waltham. The crystal is also in excellent condition.
THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with gilt plates and a Bosely regulator, and blue steel screws. An uncut three arm steel balance, with hairspring and club tooth English lever escapement. The movement overall of very good quality. The watch ticking away on my desk as I type this, and keeping very good time for a 110 year old watch. The watch with number 8,083,xxx and marked "Safty Pinion" to allow it to be wound up as per a conventional fusee. The watch is key-wound, and set through the back and comes with a key. The movement overhaul in superb order showing little wear and excellent gilding to the plates and dust cover. The watch runs for ca. 30 hours and comes with a winding key, with the movement wound through the back cover and also the hands set. The watch is much brighter and crisp than in these dark photos, which are limited by my camera and lighting equiment. The watch is in very good working order for its age.
THE CASE: 95% mint, the solid silver case measures an impressive 52 mm. The front and rear covers are excellent, both are hinged and close nice and tightly. The case with mark, 101 and AB and silver sterling Birmingham hall marks. The rear cover opens and closes nice and tight when the pendant button is depressed. The inner dust cuvette with engraving around the winding hole and the rear cover with a few small dings. This is a high quality American watch by a famous company, whose early products are now becoming very hard to find in anything apoproaching clean and original condition. It is a work of art in its own right in crisp condition and of jewel like quality.

This watch has clearly had a sheltered life and was most likely kept just for "Sunday Best", hence its near mint and immaculate condition. This is a very fine watch in simply stunning condition, which is a very rare collectable item or a possible investment for the future or of course a fine gift for a birthday, anniversary, wedding etc.
