SUMMARY:
A solid 18k gold English early 19th century highly engraved verge chain driven fusee hunter cased pocket watch made by James Lamb of London. The watch is very substantial, and in a solid 18k gold half hunter case, so requires a secure pocket. This fine verge fusee half-hunter watch just cleaned and overhauled by my watch-maker and keeping good verge time. The condition of this watch is simply stunning and clearly well looked after over the last 200 years. The watch is best described as a time-capsule from the early 19th century in simply stunning condition, dating from 1798.  the watch with rare original named dial, Heinrich Fase.

THE DIAL: 100% mint, the restored  white enamel dial with fine black letters, spelling out the first owners name, Heinrich Fase, and a separate minute track to outside of dial with no chips or hairlines to dial and inner circle of Arabic numerals.  With gold hour and minute spade hands. Diameter is 45 mm and the glass is retained securely.

THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with richly gilded full plate in wonderful condition. The well engraved and carved rococo style balance cock and foot in superb condition with foliage. The back plate with further decoration and Tompion time regulator plate. The watch is keywind, and movement size is 39 mm diameter. The movement with round ballustar pillars and numbered 465 and signed by the maker, James Lamb of London, number 15770. Pierced gilded fusee stop work with iron hinge. The watch with fusee chain on tight to barrel and fusee cone and a good free swinging balance and the watch runs the full length of the fusee chain, keeping good verge time. The watch comes with a winding key for hands set and winding. The watch comes with a watch key and the watch runs the full length of the fusee chain.  

THE CASE: 98% mint, the solid 18k gold half-hunter case measures an impressive 53 mm outside diameter. The hinged cover closing tightly, and all in fine order.  The three knuckle hinge in good order. The cases with London hall-marks, and case maker marks of "RW".  The pendant and very well made  D-bow, in superb condition. The case with no pin-holes or stretch marks, just a few tiny dings to outer case. The top cover pops open when the pendant button is depressed.
